Meet Your Technician: Madelin

Madelin is your dedicated piano technician, passionate about making pianos a joy for her clients to play. Despite her quiet disposition, she easily opens up, sharing her love for craftsmanship and customer service.

From a young age, Madelin has had a natural affinity for repairing broken things and enhancing them beyond their original state. She holds steadfast to her principles—no shortcuts for faster or cheaper results. It’s all about quality craftsmanship and impeccable customer service. Her love for her work shines through; it never feels like work when she’s immersed in the art of piano tuning or restoring a beloved instrument to its former glory. Nothing brings her more joy than seeing a smile light up her client’s face as the music flows from their fingertips.

Raised with a strong work ethic instilled by her parents, Madelin comes from a long line of hardworking entrepreneurs who built their businesses from the ground up. Their dedication to their craft, honesty, and reliability are values she carries forward in her work today.

Born in Oregon and raised in Hawaii, Madelin pursued her Bachelor of Liberal Arts at Gutenberg College. She further honed her skills at North Bennet Street School in Boston, graduating from both the Basic Piano Technology Program (2020-2021) and Advanced Piano Technology Program (2021-2022), passing her Piano Technology Guild Certification Exams with flying colors.

Madelin’s journey led her to an internship at Steinway & Sons in NYC during the summer of 2022. Immersed in both the showroom near Time Square and the factory in Astoria, her internship focused on assembling Spirio player systems and tuning/regulation prep for Spirio recording sessions.

Now based in Vancouver, WA, Madelin travels to serve areas in need of piano service, from the tropical Hawaiian Islands to the majestic landscapes of Big Sky, Montana. A portion of her time is dedicated to working with Ken Eschete at Bentside Arts in Spokane, WA, collaborating on piano restoration projects.

Outside of her work, Madelin enjoys a variety of hobbies, including ballroom dancing, skiing, traveling, exploring the outdoors, indulging in various crafts, and spending quality time with loved ones.
